Joe Perry: Aerosmith star after hospital breakdown

Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry, 68, is in the hospital - apparently having collapsed after appearing with Billy Joel (69). Perry "Entertainment Weekly" surprised audiences at New York's Madison Square Garden when he came on stage for a cover version of "Walk This Way" to Joel. However, the gig had dire consequences.
"Following a guest appearance at Billy Joel's show at Madison Square Garden, Joe Perry suffered from shortness of breath and was treated by paramedics backstage," cites "Entertainment Weekly" from a statement by Perry's spokesman. Subsequently, the musician was taken to the hospital. He was "awake" and "responsive," it said accordingly. A planned appearance in Florida had to be canceled. However, Perry wants to be on stage again in November. The well-known radio presenter Eddie Trunk (54) wrote on Twitter next to recovery wishes that he had heard now that Perry was better again.
