Here are cosmetic seminars for cancer patients
Nana - Recover your Smile e.V .: beauty workshops including photo shoot
The non-profit organization Nana - Recover your Smile offers since August 2012 make-up and styling consultations for cancer patients. The special feature: In the subsequent photo shoot, the participants are staged by professional photographers. The courses take place in cooperation as well as on the premises of the Munich make-up school Lilly meets Lola. There is currently a fixed date per month, an overview can be found on the Facebook page of the association. On request, special appointments can be arranged in the southern part of Germany.
From naturally-fresh complexions over the accentuation of the eyebrows to the attachment of artificial eyelashes - the makeup artists and make-up artists of the make-up school, trained in dealing with cancer patients, show how it's done. They also give tips on the selection and styling of hairpieces and wigs. If you want, try a particularly dramatic make-up and a pin-up hairstyle. Whether it's nice or unusual, with lots of crazy props - the women decide how they want to put themselves on stage in the pictures. The number of participants per workshop is limited to six, the courses last one afternoon.
The offer is not aimed exclusively at women - even men can participate in the workshops and photo shootings.

Nana - Recover your Smile is based on the idea of Nana Stäcker, who died of cancer in January 2012. Before she died, she was photographed and was so enthusiastic that together with Lilly meets Lola she developed the concept, designed a first logo, wrote informational texts and created a Facebook page. Unfortunately, the 21-year-old could not implement the project itself. Her parents and friends realized the idea that only a few months after Nana's death the first workshop took place.
The workshops and the photo shootings are free for the participants. Your best friend, mum, daughter or partner are welcome, but they ask for a small donation. The focus is on the participants.

Flying power - back to the self: cosmetic seminars and great photos
Marina Proksch Park
To combine make-up and styling tips with beautiful photos was also the idea of Marina Proksch-Park from the Friesland Bredehorn. It all started with pictures made by the 34-year-old amateur photographer of the cancer-stricken daughter of a good friend. This resulted in Flugkraft, a photo project against childhood cancer. Proksch-Park, which sits on the board of Leukin, an association to help leukemia sick children, visited since then with her camera families throughout northern Germany.
In recent months, more and more young people and young women came to her, who wanted to be photographed. This is how the sister project Flugkraft - back to the ego was born. At the end of August, the first workshop took place at the Haus der Begegnung in Bad Zwischenahn. A trained beautician gave the young women care and make-up tips, which the local girls themselves implemented. In the future, these seminars should take place regularly throughout northern Germany.
If the young women agree, their pictures and stories will be published on www.flugkraft.de. The comments made by the readers give strength, while at the same time Proksch-Park aims to reach young people and sensitize them to the issues of cancer and bone marrow donation.
Proksch Parks pictures are very natural. Most show the women without wig in happy, powerful, bold but also in thoughtful moments.
Both the workshops and the photos are free.

DMKS LIFE: cosmetic seminars and hair program
Since 1995, the DKMS LIFE, sister of the non-profit society Deutsche Knochenmarkspenderdatei DKMS, offers cosmetic seminars for cancer patients. Again, there are practical tips around the topics of facial care, make-up, hair and headgear by professionals. To date, more than 100,000 women have participated in the workshops.
Every year, around 1100 seminars are held in more than 230 medical facilities, clinics and counseling centers throughout Germany. All beauticians work as volunteers and are trained in dealing with cancer patients. This allows them to respond specifically to the individual needs of women. The participants implement the many new tips and tricks in the one and a half to two-hour program themselves. The make-up succeeds later in front of the domestic mirror.
Since 2009, DKMS LIFE has been offering separate cosmetic seminars for young people aged 10 to 21, and since 2011 there has also been the so-called hair program, which was launched in collaboration with L? Oréal and supported by the Gesellschaft für Haarästhetik mbh (GFH) becomes. Partner hairdressers throughout Germany advise before, during and after the hair loss individually, whether to deal with the hair loss, the purchase of a wig, billing with the health insurance or adjusting the wig. The cosmetic seminars of the DKMS LIFE are free of charge, just like the consultation in the hair salon participating in the hair program.

Then simply choose the desired date from the list and ask the organizer for free seats at the given phone number. A list of hairdressing salons participating in the hair program is available here.
