Heidi Klum: She inherits Heidi Klum's talent show job
That was fast! Heidi Klum (45), together with fashion consultant Tim Gunn (65), has just announced her departure from "Project Runway"; now her successor as presenter and executive producer is certain: Supermodel Karlie Kloss (26) will follow in the footsteps of Heidi kick.
"As someone who grew up with Project Runway, I could not be happier to moderate and produce a show that provides a platform for aspiring American designers to realize their dreams," Kloss told the Hollywood Reporter. "I am equally excited to work with an extraordinarily talented group to inspire and support designers on their way to establishing their own brand."
This is the new "Project Runway" team
In addition to Karlie, designer and former "Project Runway" winner Christian Siriano (32), fashion designer and photographer Brandon Maxwell (34), "Elle" editor-in-chief Nina Garcia (53) and ex "Teen Vogue" editor-in-chief Elaine Welteroth 31) act as jurors and mentors on the show.
Klum and Gunn had announced their exit from the successful show in September to devote themselves to a new joint project: a reality-fashion show on the Amazon Prime Video streaming service.
The 17th season "Project Runway" with Karlie Kloss is scheduled for 2019.
