George R.R. Martin: New hope for all "Game of Thrones" fans

For several years author George R.R. Martin (70) already on "The Winds of Winter". It is the sixth volume of the fantasy series "A Song of Ice and Fire", based on the hit series "Game of Thrones". Many fans are worried that the 70-year-old will ever finish the saga of Westeros on paper. The final eighth season of the HBO series will begin in April 2019. A release date for the sixth book is still pending. But Martin has promised his fans something.

"Your patience is the world to me"

George R.R. Martin thanks in his blog initially all his fans who have been loyal to him for years. Especially the success of his latest work "Fire and Blood" he was downright "enthusiastic". After all, it is not a classic novel, but rather a history book about the house Targaryen.



The native American continues: "I know you are waiting for 'WINDS' and I will give it to you ... but I am very pleased that you have stayed with me [...] your patience and your tireless Support means the world to me ".

Then he makes all fans of the saga for Westeros hopes: "I'm back in my fortress of loneliness and back in Westeros It will not be tomorrow, not even next week, but you will end the 'A song of ice and get a fire. " Until then, everyone should enjoy the last season "Game of Thrones" and the prequel series. "Winter is not the only thing that comes," promises Martin.
