Floor lamps make yourself - that's how it works

What you need for a floor lamp with silk towels:

  • 1 old floor lamp with large waisted screen
  • green spray paint
  • 4 silk scarves, 80 x 80 cm
  • two ties
  • about 30 cm satin ribbon

Floor lamp with silk towels - how it works:

Sew silk scarves without seam allowance into a large tube. Sew top edge 1.5 cm as drawstring. Pull in satin ribbon and tighten strongly. Then slip the cloth skirt over the screen and adjust it with the tie by tying a bow. Clean lamp base and paint with green spray paint.

You need this for a floor lamp with stripes:

  • 1 old floor lamp with smooth shade
  • red spray paint
  • Acrylic paint in red and turquoise
  • brush

Floor lamp with stripes - how it works:

Measure the top and bottom of the screen and distribute an even number of strips of the desired width, alternately red and turquoise. Clean the stand and paint with the spray paint.



What you need for a floor lamp with satin:

  • 1 old table lamp
  • 1 satin underdress,
  • approx. 1.30 m red and white striped grosgrain ribbon
  • 45 cm laundry gum
  • mustard yellow spray paint

Floor lamp with satin - how it works:

Measure the height of the lampshade and cut the undergarments from the hem to the waist lengthwise, including 5 cm seam allowance. Overcast the open edge. Turn in 5 cm seam allowance at the top and stitch in place; sew a second seam at a distance of approx. 1.5 cm; Pull rubber into the tunnel. Pull the small skirt over the lampshade and fasten with the ribbon. Clean the lamp base and paint it with the mustard-yellow spray paint.
