Flippy praise: Will the trend haircut of the 2000s be back?

When we look at old pictures of us - and our hair in particular - some of them jerk together. Because we have to admit: some hairstyles were just horrible. And others just awesome? even if we did not know it then. Like, for example, this one: the flippy praise. And yes, he is back.

What is a flippy praise?

You might think, Flippy praise? Never heard! May not belong, but guaranteed already seen. Because the hairstyle is remembered especially from the old films of the Olsen Twins. In the 2000s, the TV twins have the hairstyle in "It takes two? London, we're coming!" and "Top Secret - Two Chatterboxes in Australia" worn. Well, remember?

Even then, Mary-Kate and Ashley discovered the Long Bob and carried it so that the tips are arched outward retrospectively. Granted, that's exactly how we would not wear it today. But in a more subtle and laid-back form, we see some who have rediscovered this hair trend this season: Kendall Jenner, Millie Bobby Brown or even Zendaya.

The alternative to beach waves

The flippy praise is the perfect alternative for those who just do not want beach waves anymore. That's where we saw each other. That's why this old-new style is just right for us. This is how you can style it: flippy praise is all about volume - the more, the better. Therefore, you should necessarily after washing a volume mousse in damp hair. If you want to make your hair look very dense and thick, you can even pick out Grandma's old curlers. They are perfect and the look looks as retro as possible.

If you want, you can of course try the curling iron, but you should be careful that the result does not look like beach waves. The waves should generally only be in the top - and not in the lengths. We think the flippy praise fits perfectly into the fall - and if you comb your hair back with some hairspray, the hairstyle looks even mega elegant. We are in love!
