Fast & Furious 9: The movie comes without Dwayne Johnson's role Hobbs

The previous eight "Fast & Furious" films have spent over $ 1.5 billion at the box office. But in the ninth part of the popular series, there will definitely be two key characters missing: Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson (46, "Jumanji") in his role as Luke Hobbs and Jason Statham (51, "Transporter") as Ian Shaw. As Johnson confirmed in an interview with "MTV News", the two will not be seen in "Fast & Furious 9". Reason for this are among other things the simultaneously starting production to the "Fast & Furious" spin-off "Hobbs & Shaw".

There is a seething under the surface

"It's always been our plan to grow the 'Fast & Furious' universe, we're not in 'Fast 9' because they're already starting to shoot, but who knows what to do with 'almost 10' or after You never know, because after all, Hobbs and Dom are far from finished, "explains Dwayne Johnson in the video. But that might not be the whole explanation. It's no secret that behind the scenes of the "Fast & Furious" series has been around for a long time thick air. Dwayne Johnson and Vin Diesel had a verbal exchange on work ethic, and novelist Tyrese Gibson publicly railed against Johnson more than once.
