Eckart von Hirschhausen: "Good luck must pass"

ChroniquesDuVasteMonde.com: Illustrate your "Lucky Charms" program with a three-leaved shamrock. It should bring the four-leafed luck. What did you think?

Eckart von Hirschhausen: Four leaves are no better than three - they are only rarely. But when we declare things to be lucky, which are rare, we should not be surprised if we are rarely happy! In my program, I lean on modern happiness research. Their message is: Happiness is not a coincidence, I do not have to wait until it falls to my feet, happiness is the sum of my daily actions, not my search!

ChroniquesDuVasteMonde.com: But?

Eckart von Hirschhausen: I advise to turn the perspective. My driving instructor said, "If your frontman suddenly brakes on the highway, look at the side lane, otherwise you'll be riding on the back." The same is true of luck. If we head for it directly, we prevent it. Happiness is a "side effect," for example, when you do something focused on what you believe in. Happiness is the time when you do not look at the clock. You often realize that afterwards.

ChroniquesDuVasteMonde.com: What do you mean by luck?

Eckart von Hirschhausen: For me, happiness in German is an unfortunate term. The English distinguish "Luck", "Pleasure" and "Happiness" - so Lottogewinn, enjoyment and elation. Add to that the happiness of the community and the spiritual experience. On my CD I have a compass with these five different "varieties". If one is not on offer at the moment, I can consciously devote myself to another category, for example waiting for a great love to have fun with friends, with nature, spirit and chocolate.

ChroniquesDuVasteMonde.com: You say happiness can not be a permanent condition - why?

Eckart von Hirschhausen: Happiness has to pass to make room for new happiness. From a medical point of view, happiness is a dopamine intoxication that looks like a reward. Food and sex make us happy, but no one seriously wants non-stop sex or sweet tooth land. It would be hell! We also learn from negative experiences. They want to point out something, like the alarm clock in the early morning. Many start the day with hatred, without wondering who put it! Clearly he triggers an uneasy feeling at short notice, but wants to point out something useful: time to get up! So my tip for the new year: Do not ask yourself constantly, if you are happy. Especially not when the alarm rings ...

ChroniquesDuVasteMonde.com: Do you have any suggestions?

Eckart von Hirschhausen: Yes. The most important thing is to make a red square in your address book for the names of the people who are good for you and make sure they meet them regularly. Secondly, keep a happiness diary in which you record your beautiful experiences in the evening, which enhances mindfulness for good luck. And third, just be quiet for ten minutes a day and do nothing. You will see how much abundance is always there, in us and around us! The attitude "I need this or that to be happy" is very human, but nonsense. And if you really want to do something for yourself - do something for others. Luck can be given away without having had it yourself. And it's on: Laughter - and the world laughs with you, snoring, and you're sleeping alone.
