Dumbest self-experiment ever? I get myself a bad luck tattoo Friday, the 13th

It occurs every few months: a Friday falling on a thirteenth. Even if most people dismiss the alleged mischief as humbug? a pause for a moment on the calendar page.

But is Friday, the 13th, really a Pechtag? ChroniquesDuVasteMonde.com editor Susanne has dared the self-experiment. At the last "bad luck date" she went to the tattoo parlor and had tattooed a bad luck bird. Your conclusion: misfortune? Are you kidding me? Are you serious when you say that!

Why do I do this?

Superstitious people might clap their hands over their heads, but I'll do it anyway: I'll have a crow tattooed on my lower leg this Friday? although it is the thirteenth.

Am I reckless? Goes so. Am I particularly willing to take risks? No. Adrenaline Addict? Nope. Am I tired of life? But on the contrary! Am I crazy then maybe? Definitely - but that's why I'm not tattooed ...

I'm just not afraid of this unfortunate Friday. And certainly not in front of corvids. I think there are enough things in the world that we are wary of. We do not have to put more fears into the world.

But I'm not a martyr

Do not worry: I'm not going to take a tattoo. Not even to prove something to superstitious people. I'm not a martyr!

For my sake, every human being is allowed to believe what he wants and what is best for him and his fellow man. And as far as the fear goes, I have enough feelings myself that I can not explain. Here I am the last who pretends to be able to "cure" others of anything.

How it came to the "misfortune date"

The "unfortunate" combination of crow and Friday, the 13th, came like this: with my tattooist Felix I had arranged three appointments, at which a huge wolf on my upper arm should emerge. The wolf was born too? just faster than planned (Felix is the best!). And so I still have an appointment - on Friday, the 13th of October.

Practically! I still have an awkward construction site on the lower leg: A botched cat tattoo, which I had - probably under the influence of too much sunlight - during a holiday for very little money sting (believe me: this experience you can safely save!). Why not cover the embarrassing construction site?

And why a crow right now?

I associate positive, very personal memories with crow. Also, it always impresses me to see how cleverly crows behave on busy roads - I do not see any unlucky ones in these animals.

And now it's a matter of interpretation: is it pure coincidence or does fate want me to do this ultimate test? That I show the world what's up to the image of this special Friday and this poor songbird (yes, crows are songbirds!)?

By the way, the resumé also months later: Susanne is totally satisfied with her tattoo? and misfortune did not bring her the action before. ??
