Do it Yourself!

Tinker. I love crafting. But the word: I do not like. Spontaneously, I think of dull tone paper crafting, straw stars and window color. Maybe it's fun, but it's not cool to come out as a passionate hobbyist at a party. You always have to push right behind it: "Yes, but design and cool and so on, I make things that you would like to have in the apartment and that are not sunk in the cellar with your mother-in-law." So, if anyone thinks of a good term, for modern crafting, building, DIY (I prefer design tinkering), bring it on!

As a finger-finished person, I always build. I am restoring flea market finds, sewing jewelry or working on things that I need in my job as a stylist. My work inspires me totally, I see a lot of beautiful things in magazines, books and stores that I browse. I always bring new ideas home with me.

Do it yourself is fun. And a huge self-confidence. It's great to make great things with relatively simple means, small budgets and basic tools. And there are more and more people (women) who profess and share this hobby. This shows the huge amount of great craft blogs.

As you can see, there are an incredible number of creative people who like to talk about their hobby. In New York and Los Angeles, the knitting boom has been going on for some time, there are more and more internet sites offering home-made food and many (so far mostly foreign) magazines, which provide a platform in an appealing way for cool handicrafts.

How do these people manage to work so many different ideas so often? Incredible.

I want to try to exchange ideas with other passionate DIY artists in my blog, to give suggestions, to introduce a few self-makers and above all to show that everything is very simple, you just have to tackle it.
