Demi Lovato with overdose in clinic: Was it really heroin?

Good news from the hospital: Demi Lovato (25) is apparently conscious and recovering. On Tuesday, the singer from Los Angeles was allegedly admitted to a drug overdose in a clinic. "Variety" quotes from a statement by her speaker: "Demi is awake and her family is with her, she wants to thank everyone for their love, prayers and support." In addition, the declaration states that "some of the common information was wrong."

Source denied heroin as a cause

"Variety", citing Los Angeles police, reports that it received an emergency call from Lovato's property in the morning. First, "TMZ" reported that the 25-year-old had been found unconscious and treated with a drug to help with an opioid overdose before being taken to a local hospital. A source close to Lovato had denied, so "TMZ", that heroin was the cause, according to initial reports. According to the TMZ, she did not want to tell the paramedics what the singer was eating, but no drugs should have been found in her home.

Lovato had long been aware that she had a moving drug past. In earlier interviews, she spoke openly about her cocaine, alcohol and analgesic addiction. Nevertheless, she was considered clean for six years. Fans have been worried for some time: In the song published a few weeks ago "Sober" (to German: sober) she sang, among other things, that she has strayed from the right path and no longer sober.
