Dave Bautista: He is now officially in wrestler pension

Wrestling made him big, but he does not want to enter the ring anymore. Dave Bautista, 50, also known as "Batista", has officially ended his wrestling career after the big event "Wrestlemania 35". For the first time in October 2002 Bautista became active as a wrestler.

"Thanks for letting you talk," Bautista wrote in a short message on Twitter. And further: "I love this business, and whether you cheer or boo me, I'm grateful to be a small part of your life." He is now officially retired when it comes to "sports entertainment" and also "grateful for every second of my wonderful journey."

Acting is calling

Years ago, Bautista has created a second leg with acting. For the first time he played in 2010 in "Wrong Side of Town" in a movie. This was followed by numerous other engagements - even in major productions. He also appeared in "Riddick" (2013) and "James Bond 007: Specter" (2015). Best known to him, however, is film fans for the role of Drax in the Guardians of the Galaxy series and in Avengers: Infinity War. It is expected that Bautista will also appear in the third "Guardians" section.

Dave Bautista announces retirement from wrestling (April 2024).
