Twenty years ago, Otto (Florian Martens) and Verena (Maja Maranow) solved their first joint case - but there is no time left to celebrate this special day. A pensioner is shot dead in a bus. Hertha Möbius is killed during a tour of Berlin by a sniper. The German-American couple Christiane (Katja Flint) and Alwin Elliott (August Zirner) sat next to the pensioner. They suspect that the ball was actually theirs and submerge. Otto and Verena have a similar assumption.
