Ironically, the father of Commissioner Thiel discovered when clearing out an old villa, an apparently millennia-old mummy. Herbert Thiel (Claus D. Clausnitzer) was commissioned by Judith Schorlemer (Marijam Agischewa), the granddaughter of a famous archaeologist. Does the mummy come from one of her grandfather's exploration trips to the Middle East? Prof. Dr. Wilfried Kastner (Justus von Dohnányi), director of the Archaeological Institute of the University of Münster, is thrilled. Based on the inscription on the shrine, he suspects that the mummy was originally from ancient Persia, which would be a sensation.

Eva (Sylvia Haider) and Sabrina (Despina Pajanou) are members of a special commission to arrest a serial rapist. SoKo is headed by Polizeirat Ölschläger (Christoph M. Orth), but he has little luck in his investigations. Eva is used as a decoy and raped by the unknown. After that, the police are increasingly patrolling. For a few days it stays calm, but then a dead woman is found. Ölschlägers horror is his wife.

Kriminalhauptkommissar Hanns von Meuffels (Matthias Brandt) pulls it in the well-deserved closing time. Then the very confused 80-year-old Elisabeth Strauss (Elisabeth Schwarz) appears in the police station and reports on a murder that she allegedly observed. Hanns von Meuffels takes up the investigations that lead him to a Munich retirement home with overburdened caretakers and many care-intensive patients. The search for the truth turns out to be a very difficult undertaking for Meuffels. It is the beginning of a night he will not forget soon.
