Beauty tips for traveling
USEFUL ON TRAVEL
On long-haul flights, dry skin from the cabin air gets rougher, and greasy can even react with inflammation. Hereby you are well equipped:
MINI SIZES FOR SHORT HOLIDAYS
Practical are cosmetic samples from magazines or mini sizes (eg shampoo from Wella, Carlton Haircare, masks from Merz). Some manufacturers also offer complete sets in a practical travel bag (eg from Nivea, Claire Fisher, Comfort Zone). Tip: In the duty-free shops at the airport there's "Travel & Care" sets with styling, care and wellness products.
DO NOT LIEBR
Bottles with a volume of more than 100 ml must not be carried in the hand luggage, even if the residual quantity contained therein is less. |
COSMETICS FOR HANDBAGGAGE
Liquid and gel-like cosmetics (including creams) may only be placed in a lockable plastic bag (eg "Zipper" by Toppits) in the cabin. Important: The bag must not hold more than one liter, and the individual vials may not exceed 100 ml.
SUN PROTECTION GRIP-PROOF!
Even when you get off the plane, pale skin can get more UV radiation than it does good. That's why it is best to take a small tube of sunscreen with you in your hand luggage and apply before getting out. Practical: a combination tube with integrated lip protection (eg "sunscreen cream and pencil" LSF 20 by Ladival).
EXPERT INTERVIEW: Take vacation pictures
Three questions to Birgit Potzkai, who has been staging photos for the magazine ChroniquesDuVasteMonde for 18 years:
How do you avoid narrowed eyes on photos when the sun is shining?
It's best to let the light come from the side rather than from the front. Other options: stay in the shade, for example, under the roof of a beach bar, and in addition to use a flash. Since the face remains more relaxed than in the direct sun. Or not look in the camera.
How should you stand up?
Do not just stand there and look straight into the camera! This seems cramped and boring. It's better that one side of the body faces the camera. Then you can turn your hips, shoulders or turn your head to the camera. The person does not always have to be seen completely in the picture, cuts are also very nice!
Which background colors are flattering?
All faces look more beautiful with warm, earthy tones. Green should be avoided, because the skin then looks greenish. Red and bright colors are also not ideal as background.
