Bankruptcy: Popular shopping chain must close 19 branches!
The news of the "Butler's" bankruptcy came like a thunderbolt at the beginning of the year: the popular chain is in trouble. At that time it was not yet clear whether stores had to be closed - now it is clear: 19 stores are closing, 73 stores are to be continued first.

The goal of "Butler's": The chain wants to shrink first healthy and grow again with a new, higher-quality concept, as reported, among others, the "Kölner Stadtanzeiger".
The following Butler's stores will close in the middle of the year:
- Baden-Württemberg: Heilbronn, Ulm Blue Valley Center
- Bavaria: Erlangen, Memmingen, Munich Sendlinger Tor Platz
- Berlin: Mall of Berlin, Q250, Uhlandstrasse (closed April 30, 2017), Wilmersdorfer Arcaden
- Hamburg: Ganges Market Passage, Bahrenfelder Str., Elbe Shopping Center, Great Burstah;
- Lower Saxony: Stade
- North Rhine-Westphalia: Dortmund Thier Gallery, Minden
- Rhineland-Palatinate: Koblenz, Trier Gallery
- Schleswig-Holstein: Flensburg
