Assassination of Ivanka? Armed man storms Trump Tower

The presidency of Donald Trump has also increased the security risk for his family. This got the daughter Ivanka Trump to feel. On Thursday (6 July) an armed man tried to gain access to the Trump Tower and thus to the 35-year-olds.

As the New York Police report, the man pretended to be a US Senator: "He tried to meet with Ivanka Trump to talk to her about her clothes," one official told Newsweek. The man is said to have worn a bulletproof vest and had several knives with him.

The man, who was later identified as Sixto Adams Benitez, was arrested and taken to a psychiatric hospital. After a psychiatric examination, the 52-year-old was sent to prison.

Ivanka Trump is unlikely to have heard of the planned assassination. Not only did the 35-year-old live in Washington with her family since the election of her father, she was also at the G20 summit in Hamburg at the time of the attempted assassination attempt.
