Anonymous Applications: Just no photo!

For three years there are three public employers and five companies - including giants like Deutsche Telekom, L'Oréal and Procter & Gamble? tested the anonymous application process. In 8550 applicants, all data was omitted which gave an indication of age, gender, origin, disability or marital status. Only at the job interview did the HR managers see who they had invited.

Thus, the "focus on the qualification" is directed, said Christine Lüders, who heads the anti-discrimination agency of the federal government and has started and evaluated the field trial. Women, according to Lüders today in front of the press, could particularly profit from the anonymity - this also applies to younger female applicants who, for example because of a possible desire to have children had worse chances so far.
