Annemarie Carpendale: She is looking forward to this star at the Oscars
Presenter Annemarie Carpendale (41) celebrates her Oscar comeback. After a break of two years, she will report live on ProSieben from the red carpet on 24 February from 23:55. In 2017, the Oscars intersected with her show "It's Showtime", which she co-hosted with husband Wayne (41). In 2018 the family came first, in May she gave birth to her first child. Now she is ready for the Academy Awards and even has her family in tow. Wayne and her son will accompany her to Los Angeles. "Afterwards, I will spend a few days in private," she reveals in an interview with the news agency "spot on news" and also explains which Hollywood star she is especially looking forward to.
After two years break you return to the Oscars. Did you miss the event?
Annemarie Carpendale: Of course, Oscar is longer than any other men in my life. Seriously, I had two good reasons - a great prime-time show on Sat.1 and the best reason ever - and now I'm really looking forward to starting again this year full of lust and energy.
Which star on the red carpet are you most looking forward to?
Carpendale: Emma Stone and Bradley Cooper - with him, we had already years ago "together" holiday on the same lonely island. That he looks great in swimming trunks, I know and Oscar nominations he already had a lot. This year, he has plenty of chances to finally win, after all, he can not only look good and act, but also write great writing, directing, producing and singing. Even though "A Star Is Born" has been pretty empty in terms of pricing so far, I'm definitely keeping my fingers crossed. And Emma Stone is not only one of my absolute favorite actresses, she always provides surprises with her outfit. Whether in fine robe or just in pantsuit like last year - with her on the most glamorous night of the year everything is in it.
Have you already put together your outfit? Which dress will you wear on the red carpet?
Carpendale: Well, my wish dress is still stuck in customs. Now I hope almost every day that it starts in Munich.
How many days will you spend in Los Angeles?
Carpendale: Ten days professionally, we also send a complete "red." - broadcast from Los Angeles and a "taff" special on the famous "day after". Afterwards I will stay in private for a few more days - if there is the possibility to escape the icy winter in Germany a bit, I always scream loudly "Here!".
Will your husband and your son come with you?
Carpendale: Yes, the whole gang is there.
What was the longest time you were separated from your son?
Carpendale: I have not been able to stand it for more than one night. Recently, I even voluntarily take back one of the early aviators.
How do you manage the balancing act between job and family?
Carpendale: With a crazy daddy, a lot of grandmas and grandpas - we have a total of five -, the best friends and a lovely nanny. We are more concerned about who should be careful, not who has to. (Laughs)
Is there still time for yourself with so much action?
Carpendale: That's a definitional issue for me, when the shack is full at home, I still take care of myself.
How do you like to relax?
Carpendale: Sleep well and live with friends or family in the day, go for a walk and preferably hang out in the café until the evening. And then again from the beginning the next day, please!
