After the death of Diana: With these words, William consoles a mourning girl

There are destinies, it does not help if you are a member of the royal family. Because blue blood does not protect you from fear, loss and sadness. It must therefore have been a bad time for Prince William when he had to cope with the death of his mother as a little boy.

And yet he can understand better than anyone else what it feels like when a parent dies too early. He and his wife, Duchess Catherine, felt it was a matter of the heart to visit the charity 'Child Bereavement UK'.

"It's important to talk about it"

This is a facility for children and adolescents who have lost one parent. On the occasion of her one-year anniversary, the couple from Herzogenburg talked to a few children, and especially the 34-year-old was able to encourage so many of them.

During a conversation with a young girl who has recently lost his father, the number two British throne spoke unusually open about the death of his mother Princess Diana. According to the US magazine People? he should have said: "Did you know what happened to me? I also lost my mom when I was very young, I was 15 and my brother was 12. Are you talking about your dad? It's very important that you talk about it, very, very much important."

An emotional moment, not just for the girl. Even the mother of the child remembers: "I could not believe it when he started talking about his mother, it was very emotional and I had to pull myself together, not cry, I almost did."
