After the chemotherapy: Natasha (18) is afraid that she no longer loves anyone

Can you still be loved, if you have gained 50 pounds and your hair fails? This sad question faces Natasha Anastasiou from the UK. On her 17th birthday, Natasha received the shock diagnosis: cancer, more precisely: Hodgkin's lymphoma

Natasha had to undergo chemotherapy, which pushed back the cancer, but also had other side effects: The long hair fell out of her, the tablets made sure that Natasha has gained 50 pounds in six months. Now you might think that this is secondary - the main thing is healthy!

But Natasha has suffered a lot from these consequences. She fears that she will never be loved again, "I do not look the way I should look, and that has greatly affected my self-esteem, I feel more insecure than before, and that's where the doubts come in. Why would anyone care about me? ? ", she tells in a video of a foundation for the support of cancer patients.

Words that are engravings in the heart - but also honest and open. For, like Natasha, many people are affected by a terrible illness. And so we have a lot of respect for the courage and openness of her words and hope that Natasha will soon prove otherwise - that she is indeed very lovable!
