Advent light in the layer look

"What's right for us in fashion is cheap in the Christmas decoration - the layered or layered look - when used properly, it can make us look slimmer or make a pretty Advent light from a simple drinking glass.

You need this for the Advent light:

- 1 cylindrical glass

colored tracing paper, e.g. B. in red

- 1 sandwich bag

- 1 creative punch, z. B. snowflake

- pinking scissors

- 1 wide chiffon ribbon

- 1 narrow woven ribbon

- transparent adhesive film

- coarse-grained salt

- tealight

Here's how to make the Advent light:

First measure the required amount of transparent paper directly on the glass and cut it accordingly. The height of this paper panel I have set to about two-thirds of the vessel height and cut the upper edge with an irregular pinking scissors. Then glue the transparent paper to the back with the Tesafilm.

Then bring the butter bag with the pinking scissors to the correct height. Here I have taken exactly the height of the glass, which subsequently reduced slightly in the attracted state. In the bag, the holes are used with the punch, like irregular. Of course, the purists among us are allowed to work accurately and put the snowflakes in rank and file.

The best way to cancel out the punched-out snowflakes, the result of a nice Streudeko around the Advent light. Put the glass with the tracing paper in the bag and cut a wide organza ribbon to size, do not forget about 1 cm crossing. Close the tape on the back with adhesive film.

Now cut off a piece of the thinner woven tape so that it can be wrapped around the glass two to three times and knotted. Bevel the ends, add a few inches of coarse-grained salt to the glass so that the glass bottom does not get hot when the candle is burned down. Tealight or candle in and ready is the decorative Advent light. "
