Abolish time change? Now the EU is asking all of us!
Should the summer time or the time change be abolished? In a big online poll, the European Union is calling for us to express our opinion on the issue.
Background: The regular change of time beats many citizens to the rhythm, negative health consequences are very likely. However, the regulation that was once introduced to save energy has been in place for many years.
500 million citizens can participate
A debate on abolishing time change across the EU has recently been made. As a result, the online survey was approved, which will now fill 500 million citizens. Depending on the outcome of the survey, the time change could be abolished throughout the EU.
The EU would benefit from abolishing the time change because it would create uniform rules. So far, the summer time is widely distributed? and, for example, in trade, adjusted business hours would simplify the processes.
