A dream in white! You must know that about Meghan's wedding dress

With that, she provided a little surprise: Meghan Markle, 36, chose a simple, elegant silk wedding dress with a five meter long train for her wedding to Prince Harry, 33. The robe was created by acclaimed British designer Clare Waight Keller (47), who works for the Givenchy label.

Markle had decided after a meeting with Waight Keller in the spring of 2018 for cooperation, said the palace. The timeless and elegant aesthetics of the designer had obviously impressed her. Prince Harry's bride also wanted to honor the British designer, who acts as creative director of a globally influential fashion house. The two women have worked closely together in the design for the wedding dress, it goes on.

As is usual with Givenchy creations, Meghan Markle's dress also impresses with its clear lines. Another highlight of the robe with the long train is the Bateau neckline, which stages Markle's shoulder. The tight-fitting cut of the dress with three-quarter sleeves emphasizes the slim figure of the 36-year-olds.

Markle's veil was held by Queen Mary's Diamond Bandeau Tiara. Queen Elizabeth II (92) had lent the bride's jewel for the big day, the palace announced. The 53 countries of the Commonwealth are also immortalized in the veil - by floral patterns from the individual states. The bride also wears earrings and a bracelet from Cartier as accessories.
