100 disposable cameras for the homeless

A very special view of London

The English homeless initiative "Cafe Art" wants to give people without a place of residence the opportunity to express themselves with art and photography and to make the rest of the world aware of how valuable this perspective can be. She distributed 100 disposable cameras to homeless people who were to take pictures of "her London". 80 cameras came back and around 3000 photos were developed.

Out of the most beautiful shots, a calendar for 2016 has been created, the income of which will be completely returned to the homeless project. In 2015, there was also a calendar that was so in demand that it increased the edition for next year. The 2016 calendar can be pre-ordered online on Cafe Art's website and will be released on October 12th.

A selection of the most beautiful pictures

The everyday life of the homeless was discussed in the photos as well as the sights of London. The pictures show how isolation and colorfulness mix with each other. How close to hardship and busy everyday life are in the metropolis.
