10 tips to avoid unnecessary packaging

1. Leave unnecessary outer packaging in the shop. Supermarkets have sorting bins in the cash register area where you can leave paper and plastic packaging behind. So you not only reduce the waste in the household, but also sets the supermarket a sign: I do not need this packaging!

2. Pay attention to the purchase, if there is an equivalent product less costly packaged. Attacks consciously to the less packed variant. The toothpaste tube does not have to be additionally packed in cardboard.

3. Write the manufacturers annoying packaging. The more customer complaints come, the more the manufacturer will change something.

4. Do not buy annoyingly packaged products! Do not buy any more products whose packaging does not open well or leave empty. When the sales drop, the manufacturer changes something more.

5. Attacks on cosmetic products rather thin-walled tubes than too strong plastic. Thin-walled tubes are lighter and can be seen well at a seam at the edge. They are easier to empty and consist of less material.

6. Take bags and baskets from home for shopping. So you can do without the plastic bags in the supermarket.

7. Refrain from fruits and vegetables packed in plastic. Prefer to go to the unpacked variant. If the product is offered only packaged, compare: Will I get the product elsewhere for the same price also unpacked?

8. Put one to two light fruit and vegetable nets. In it you can pack loose fruits and vegetables in the supermarket and also weigh.

9. Goes more often to the market: Here, the food is usually unpacked. Equipped with a few bags, you can avoid unnecessary disposable packaging.

10. Ask the sausage and cheese counter that the product is wrapped in as much packaging as necessary. An additional plastic bag does not have to be. Unfortunately you can not have sausage and cheese filled in your own plastic cans, because the seller has to make sure that you have got the product in a hygienically perfect condition.
